Frequently Asked Questions
Do you provide the tile or just install?
We typically install tile provided by the homeowner but are happy to help you choose materials or source them locally.
How far in advance should I book?
We’re often booked 2–4 weeks in advance. The earlier you reach out, the better!
Are you a Registered contractor and insured?
Yes, we are Insured and Registered General Contractor (#4971564).
Do you work with contractors or only homeowners?
Both! We love working with builders, designers, and homeowners directly.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Southwest Idaho including Nampa, Meridian, Boise, Eagle, Star, Middleton, and surrounding Treasure Valley areas.
Do you install heated flooring under tile?
Yes! We install heated floor systems under tile for bathrooms, kitchens, or any space where you want extra comfort.
Can you remove old tile before installing new?
Absolutely. We offer full demo and prep services, including waterproofing and surface leveling for a proper long-lasting install.
Do you offer waterproofing for showers?
Yes, all our custom shower installations include professional waterproofing using premium materials like Schluter or Wedi systems.
What type of tile is best for showers?
We recommend porcelain or ceramic tile for most showers due to their water resistance and durability. Natural stone is also an option with the right sealing and care.
What’s trending in kitchen backsplashes right now?
In Southwest Idaho, we’re seeing lots of interest in subway tile, herringbone patterns, and zellige tiles in soft neutrals or warm earth tones.
Can I use tile for my fireplace surround?
Yes! Tile is a heat-resistant and stylish choice for fireplace surrounds. We install ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, and mosaic tile designs to suit your style.
Where do you recommend buying tile locally in Boise or Nampa?
We work with several local vendors including Daltile Boise, Bedrosians Tile & Stone, and Pacific Tile. We’re happy to refer you or help you pick materials.
What tile patterns can I choose from?
We offer classic layouts like straight stack and running bond, as well as custom patterns like herringbone, basketweave, and mosaic inlays.
Can I see examples of your past work?
Yes—check out our Gallery to see bathrooms, backsplashes, fireplaces, and more.
What’s the best tile for Idaho homes with kids and pets?
We recommend durable, low-maintenance porcelain tile that resists scratches, moisture, and heavy foot traffic—perfect for busy family homes in Idaho.
Is tile better than vinyl or laminate in bathrooms?
Yes. Tile is waterproof, long-lasting, and adds more value to your home—especially in bathrooms or shower spaces where moisture is constant.
How do I choose grout color?
Grout can either blend with your tile or make a bold contrast. We’ll walk you through color choices to match your tile and minimize visible staining over time. We recommend waiting until the project is almost complete before making your final decision on grout color.
What’s the difference between ceramic and porcelain tile?
Porcelain is denser, more durable, and more water-resistant than ceramic, making it ideal for floors and showers. Ceramic is great for walls and backsplashes.
Are grout chart samples accurate?
Grout colors are pretty accurate. We do like to note that light colors stay very true while darker colors tend to dry a hair lighter than the sample. As your tile installer, we will walk you through choosing the right grout color for you.
